Government is the common body that provides for enabling the doing of functions that are impractical in the ordinary course of entrepreneurial operations.

Infrastructure: Roads, Parks, Library, Certain Utilities, Judicial, Public Records, Property Rights, Zoning and Zoning Enforcement, Public Safety, including police, fire military, and Incarceration.

What Does a Mayor Do?

At a Fall event in 2007, my granddaughter, Ashlyn, asked me "What does a Mayor do?  This is a fair question but, for a moment she caught me off guard.  A bit of personal thinking about the subject of Mayoral duties was obviously needed.
